Where to eat before, during or after the Mystic Outdoor Art Festival
The Mystic Outdoor Art Festival is celebrating its 60th anniversary on August 12th and 13th. More than 230 artists will present arts and crafts including oils, watercolors, photographs, pastels, sculpture, woodwork, comics, acrylics, and more. Downtown Mystic turns into an outdoor gallery with a juried exhibition for the discriminating art lover as well as art for the sake of art.
You will be able to spend the entire day enjoying art of all kinds. Don’t worry about finding a place to eat as Mystic is full of fine establishments, snack bars and ice cream parlors. The following is just a few of the many places to choose from in Mystic!
Harbour House has recently started serving new menus for lunch & dinner, Happy Hour, Dessert and Weekend Brunch. One particular menu item we’d like to note is the “Boardle,” which is a bruschetta board of your choice, plus a select bottle of wine for $22. This is available on the lunch and dinner menu. Unique specials include $2 oysters all day, every day and “Penny for a Pint”- check in to Harbour House on Yelp and get a pint of Bud Light for just a penny. Happy Hour is served 7 days a week: Monday–Friday 3-6 pm and Saturday& Sunday 2-6pm. Enjoy $5 select wines, beers or Moscow Mules, $1 wings and half price flatbreads. The Mystic Diner is located at the end of the I-95 Exit 90 northbound ramp. It has cocktail specials, milkshake specials, smoothies, breakfast served all day, fajita specials on Fridays along with margarita specials. At the Jealous Monk they have 32 beers on draft, a cask engine, as well as draft wines and draft cocktails and a full bar. They offer two happy hours daily from 4pm-6pm and 10pm-midnight featuring $2 of select draft beers, also on weekends. The kitchen is also open until midnight seven days a week.
