The moratorium on evictions and foreclosures has been extended until February 28, 2021. Single family home construction hit a 14 year high in December.

Jobless claims last week shrunk from 926,000 to 900,000 while continuing claims still hovered around 5 million. Stock Markets are still on the rise counting on vaccines and a new stimulus package to drive the economy. The result may be higher interest rates on mortgages later in the year. Builder confidence in the single-family home market remained strong.
